Sourcing Specialist – Technology & Professional ServicesAbout the Role
We are seeking a motivated Sourcing Specialist to support a fast-paced Source-to-Pay organization. This role is ideal for a procurement professional who has developed a solid foundation in sourcing, supplier management, contract support, and commercial negotiations and is ready to take greater ownership of sourcing activities.
The Sourcing Specialist will manage a high volume of low-to-medium complexity sourcing requests, partnering with internal stakeholders and suppliers to identify competitive solutions, negotiate commercial terms, support contract execution, and ensure sourcing activities are completed efficiently and in accordance with established procurement processes.
The role will primarily support technology, software, professional services, and other indirect spend categories. The successful candidate will be organized, commercially minded, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and confident communicating with stakeholders and suppliers in English.
Key Responsibilities
Manage low-to-medium complexity sourcing projects from initial request through supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution.Handle multiple sourcing requests simultaneously while ensuring projects are completed within established timelines and service-level expectations.Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, scope, timelines, and sourcing needs.Support sourcing activities across software, technology, professional services, and other indirect spend categories.Conduct RFQs, RFIs, competitive bids, and supplier evaluations to identify solutions that provide the best overall value.Engage directly with suppliers to obtain proposals, clarify requirements, compare commercial offers, and support supplier selection.Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, service levels, renewals, and other key supplier conditions within established guidelines.Support the review and negotiation of supplier contracts, working with appropriate internal teams when legal, compliance, or risk considerations require additional review.Identify potential supplier and commercial risks and escalate issues when appropriate.Leverage existing and preferred suppliers whenever possible while maintaining alignment with category strategies.Build productive relationships with suppliers and internal business stakeholders.Track sourcing activities, supplier information, savings, contract status, and other relevant information within procurement systems.Support contract renewals and other recurring procurement activities as required.Work toward established KPIs, SLAs, savings targets, and sourcing objectives.Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify and improve sourcing processes.
Must-Have Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or a related field.Approximately 2–4 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, or a related function.Hands-on experience supporting or managing sourcing and procurement activities.Experience interacting and negotiating directly with suppliers/vendors.Understanding of commercial negotiations, including pricing and basic contractual terms.Experience with RFQs, competitive bidding, supplier evaluation, contract renewals, or similar sourcing processes.Ability to manage several requests or projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience sourcing software, SaaS, technology, IT services, professional services, or other indirect spend categories.Exposure to Source-to-Contract (S2C) or Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes.Experience reviewing or supporting the negotiation of supplier contracts.Familiarity with procurement platforms or ERP systems such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, SAP, or similar tools.Experience working in a global or multinational environment.Basic understanding of supplier risk assessment and contract lifecycle management
