Key Responsibilities Assist in planning and preparing seasonal seafood dishes aligned with market trends and customer preferences. Oversee the seafood preparation process to ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation across all dishes. Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in all kitchen operations. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on seafood preparation techniques, kitchen safety, and operational best practices. Collaborate closely with the Head Chef to innovate and refine the seafood menu, incorporating new flavors and cooking methods. Monitor seafood inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to maintain optimal stock and reduce waste. Engage with front-of-house teams to guarantee smooth service flow and exceptional customer satisfaction. Contribute to maintaining a positive, cooperative kitchen environment that encourages teamwork and professional development. What We're Looking For Required: Culinary diploma or certification from a recognized culinary institution. Minimum of 3 years of culinary experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role. Proven expertise in seafood preparation, preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of seafood cooking techniques, flavor pairings, and presentation standards. Thorough understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene best practices. Experience leading kitchen teams and fostering a collaborative workplace culture. Familiarity with kitchen management software and inventory control systems. Preferred: Experience working in multicultural kitchen environments. Ability to innovate and adapt menus based on seasonal and market trends. Strong communication and organizational skills.
