Sr EHS Coordinator

About the role

Guardian Industries is seeking an EHS Coordinator to build capability and resilient systems, strengthen ownership of risks and legal requirements within Operations, and support long-term sustainability through effective systems.

You will join the EHS & Facilities team and work closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Human Resources, with a focus on prevention, continuous improvement, and responsible risk management.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety culture and encourage ownership and day-to-day execution by Operations.
• Partner with capability teams through trust and collaboration.
• Drive a long-term strategy to position OTTO of operational performance.
• Act as an internal EHS capability, working as one team to enable a Bottom-Up transformation across the organization.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in EHS roles, including leadership in risk management and analysis, and compliance audits, preferably in industrial or similar environments.
• Knowledge of local and federal Safety and Environmental regulations.
• Experience leading and sustaining safety, hygiene, and environmental programs.
• Fluent conversational English, at independent user level, and ability to handle technical communication in English and Spanish.
• Strong communication skills and ability to connect with people and transfer knowledge.
• Service-oriented mindset and openness to understand processes, risks, and needs from the internal customer’s perspective.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Comfort and enthusiasm for using digital systems and Artificial Intelligence.
