Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to design and implement manufacturing processes that achieve required quality, delivery, and productivity levels. The role supports manufacturing efficiency improvements using Eaton Business System Tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide resources and continuous improvements for manufacturing processes.
• Correct and prevent manufacturing problems related to process and productivity.
• Follow up on, improve, and monitor yield, scrap, productivity, and capacity metrics.
• Monitor and control production process flow through developing and implementing EBS tools.
• Determine product-line manload and the process, equipment, machines, fixtures, and tools required on demand.
• Design manufacturing systems, processes, and layouts.
• Develop and implement programs to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
• Analyze customer complaints and develop corrective action plans.
• Monitor and implement quality standards based on EQMS to support standard certification.
• Analyze and evaluate process capacity through capability studies.
• Design manufacturing instructions and develop processes and work procedures to support goal achievement.
• Participate actively in departmental teams and support the introduction of new production lines and products.
• Complete required documents based on PROLaunch requirements.
• Develop and execute capital project appropriations to improve processes.
• Update PFMEA tools and Control Plans for unusual production process conditions.
• Maintain updated VSM, Standard Work, and Error Proofing tools.
• Follow up on applicable CO (Change Orders) implementation and Change Control based on EQMS guidelines.
• Lead continuous improvement events, including VSM, 3P, LMF, TPM, SUR, SW, 5S, and Problem Solving.
