Sr Product Manager

Descripción del empleo

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join Rootstrap's Product team in Argentina, Uruguay, and Colombia. Here at Rootstrap, we deliver exceptional work and have a great time doing it. Our Product team is growing, and we are looking for experienced product managers who can own outcomes end to end and work hand in hand with our clients in the USA.
As a Senior Product Manager at Rootstrap, you will shape and implement product visions for our clients while operating with a high degree of autonomy. You will be a product reference for the team, lead discovery and delivery for complex initiatives, and build enough trust with clients to influence their decisions. You will work alongside designers, engineers, and other departments to define the strategy and roadmap and bring the client's vision to life across the full product lifecycle, from concept to launch.
As AI reshapes the way digital products get built, the Product Manager's role becomes more strategic than ever. We are looking for PMs who deeply understand the client's business, are curious and comfortable working with modern tools, and can turn that understanding into a clear foundation the team can execute against with quality. We are not looking for engineers; we are looking for strong product thinkers who can define, guide, and validate the work.
What are the main responsibilities of this role?Own the outcome (not just the output) for multiple initiatives in parallel, leading cross-functional teams.Provide leadership in product discovery for products in the 0 to 1 and growth stages, largely autonomously, guiding the team in identifying opportunities and solutions.Translate the client's business and goals into clear, well structured product definitions (PRDs, specs, and user stories) the team can build from, and be the reference for what a good outcome looks like.Drive analytics by default: define measurement plans and own the implementation of product analytics tools (for example, Amplitude or Mixpanel), setting the success and quality criteria that tell us whether the product is working.Manage stakeholders and their expectations, and build the trust needed to influence client decisions.Elaborate and keep the roadmap, and be the vision keeper.Write precise, efficient product specs, transforming requirements into user stories that can be developed on the sprints.Participate actively in standard agile ceremonies (daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint retrospectives, sprint demos, etc.).Collaborate with other leaders on the team, mentor semi-senior PMs, and work actively with stakeholders on the product strategy to drive outcome-oriented results.
Which skills and experience do we envision for this role?Candidates must have a proven track record of successfully launching digital products (0 to 1 and growth) to the market. (Required)Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a product manager, preferably with a software development or technical background, which helps understand the product lifecycle, development processes, and the challenges of bringing new products to market. (Required)Operates with little or no supervision and can act as a product reference, able to lead a discovery of medium to high complexity end to end. (Required)Curious and comfortable working with modern AI tools, with a working understanding of how to apply them in product work, enough to define, guide, and validate, without needing to build it yourself. (Valued)A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or a technical field, is beneficial.Experience working closely with product teams, designers, and engineers to deliver the highest quality user experience. You can demonstrate your Product Management skills: prioritization, discovery, analytics, negotiation, facilitation, ownership, and research.Advanced experience with the Agile development process and a clear understanding of the digital product development lifecycle.Proven relevant technical skills, data analysis, technical writing, implementation of product analytics tools, A/B testing, and programming basics are a plus.Excellent stakeholder management and an outcome-oriented mindset.Advanced or bilingual English for non-native speakers. (Required)Located in Latin America, we primarily work with clients in the EST and PST time zones, accommodating their schedules as needed.Nice to have: experience in data-heavy or regulated domains (for example, fintech or healthtech), agency or consulting experience, and a history of mentoring other PMs.
