Staff Accountant Cost Accountant

ROCR/Rather Outdoors is a sporting goods manufacturer located in the Grupo Z Free Zone – Cartago, Costa Rica. We are looking to hire a Staff Accountant II with excellent organizational and analytical skills. You will keep track and oversee all financial records in our organization, including balance sheets, cash flow, income statements, and reconciliations. You will be reporting directly to our Director of Finance and collaborating with our procurement and compliance teams.Our staff accountant will be detailed oriented, confident, professional, meticulous with a keen interest in the cost-efficient operation of the organization, knowledgeable in statistics, have strong problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure, and deliver on tight deadlines.General Requirements:· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field· Regional Accounting firm experience preferred, not required· 3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting, or combination of audit and private company experience· Solid cost systems backgroundCustoms compliance familiarity in relation to costing process· Have a general understanding of US GAAP· Have a desire to grow by supporting the company and team in projects that may arise through company initiatives or through acquisition· Experience supporting and working with other departments in achieving company goals· Team oriented· Ability to solve problems and present go forward solutions· Ability to multi-task while working independently and collaboratively with a team· Ability to succeed in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment· Exceptional attention to detail· Must have a positive attitude· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access)· Experience using ERP Accounting Software· 100% proficiency in English – written and spoken.· Ability to travel to the U.S.A. (valid U.S.A. travel visa)Support the organization and culture by:· Maintaining a good working relationship with teammates and peers· Effectively communicating with non-finance staff, including those in the warehouse and factory· Identifying areas where data or information could be and suggesting advanced training, as necessaryDay to day responsibilities include:· Month end close responsibilities with preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations· Analysis of finished goods and work in progress jobs in inventory· Assist in the development and maintenance of the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the company.· Assist in the preparation of the annual manufacturing budget and standard costs· Assist in the costing of new products and ensuring costing accuracy· Accurately explain and analyze manufacturing variances including labor, material, and purchase price variances· Support the FP&A team and the organization in understanding the fluctuations in balances under the position’s purview Other responsibilities:· Support year end audit processes and discuss balances with the auditors as requested· Travel may be requested on an ad hoc basis to support subsidiaries and future integration initiatives Postúlate directamente en CazVid.
