Staff/Senior Tax Analyst

Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review and/or file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns.
Maintain and validate tax rates, jurisdiction mappings and customer taxability.
Reconcile tax collected in billing to the general ledger and investigate discrepancies.
Support audits and manage build and improve compliance workflows.
And other related responsibilities.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
0-4 years of tax experience, with hands-on multi-state sales and use tax compliance.
Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, handling large files) and comfort reconciling high-volume transactional data.
Strong research and writing skills.
Detail orientation and ownership of deadlines in a recurring compliance calendar.
Preferred
Experience in energy, utilities, telecom or another regulated or billing-heavy industry.
Familiarity with utility taxes, gross receipts or franchise taxes, and local-level rate structures.
