The firm delivers specialist technical services focused on complex buildings, high‑performance structures, and existing building challenges, working across a wide range of project types and materials.The organisation is known for its technical depth, collaborative culture, and steady growth, offering engineers long‑term career development, exposure to challenging work, and a supportive professional environment.The RoleThis position is suited to an experienced Senior Structural Engineer with 10+ years of design and field experience who is looking to take on technically diverse projects with increasing responsibility.The role involves a balance of structural design, investigations, client interaction, and construction support, with opportunities to take on project management responsibilities depending on experience and interest.Projects include:New building designExisting building renovation and adaptive reuseHistoric structures and restorationSteel, concrete, timber, and masonry systemsKey ResponsibilitiesPerform and lead structural analysis and design for a wide variety of building typesConduct site investigations, condition assessments, and structural evaluationsDevelop structural concepts, calculations, drawings, and specificationsPrepare feasibility studies, technical reports, and construction documentationCoordinate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teamsProvide construction support including site visits, inspections, and issue resolutionReview submittals, RFIs, and contractor queriesEnsure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulationsDirect specialty consultants and testing agencies during investigative phasesDevelop practical, cost‑effective engineering solutions within budget constraintsParticipate in public and private bidding processesMentor and support junior engineers and technical staffProject Management Responsibilities (as applicable):Monitor budgets, schedules, and resourcingReview monthly billing and vendor invoicesTrack project costs and performanceCollaborate with other project leaders on complex structural issuesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)Professional Engineer (PE) license required10+ years of relevant structural engineering experienceStrong experience with building structures (steel, concrete, timber, masonry)Proficiency with AutoCAD and structural analysis/design softwareBIM experience (Revit or similar) is a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating within a team environmentWhat's on OfferCompetitive compensation and benefitsLong‑term career progression and leadership opportunitiesExposure to complex, technically interesting projectsSupportive, collaborative work environmentOngoing professional development and mentorship
