Structural Project Engineer

BetterPros is seeking a Structural Design Engineer for a full-time role with one of its Florida-based clients. The work supports structural engineering projects, including multifamily residential and complex buildings. Responsibilities

• Develop 3D Building Information Models (BIM) and structural analysis and design models using advanced software.
• Perform computer-aided and hand-calculated structural analysis, design, and detailing for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber systems, including highly complex structures.
• Prepare construction documents using Autodesk Revit.
• Coordinate structural design with architects and other engineering disciplines at an intermediate level.
• Review structural submittals and RFIs of all levels of complexity.
• Conduct construction observation and special inspections for internal and external projects.
• Prepare organized, clear, and accurate structural calculations, plans, and details.
• Discuss allocated time per task regularly with the project manager and assist with introductory project management activities.
• Provide introductory supervision and guidance to junior engineers when needed.
• Maintain accuracy, clarity, and consistency across deliverables and reports.
• Log time daily and communicate progress in alignment with project schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in structural or civil engineering.
• Advanced English level.
• 1 to 4 years of experience in structural engineering.
