About the role
The Substitute Teacher supports students when permanent teachers are absent by delivering planned lessons in accordance with Metropolitan School of Panama and IB curriculum standards. The role supports students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
Responsibilities
- Follow established lesson plans and adapt instruction to diverse learners.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment and manage classroom behavior.
- Supervise students during instructional and transition times.
- Provide timely feedback on student progress as directed.
- Collaborate with faculty and coordinators, follow school policies and procedures, and contribute to the positive culture and professional standards of the MET community.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in Education and Teaching, with experience working with school-age learners in a formal classroom setting.
- Ability to plan and implement effective lesson planning aligned with established curriculum and learning objectives.
