We are seeking an Automation & Engineering Support Engineer to join a growing manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for supporting automation projects, developing and implementing robotic solutions, maintaining engineering documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically strong, and comfortable working closely with production personnel, maintenance teams, and engineering staff in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Support automation and continuous improvement projects across manufacturing operations. Assist with the development, programming, integration, and troubleshooting of industrial and collaborative robots (Cobots). Create, modify, and maintain mechanical designs, drawings, and models using SolidWorks. Develop and update engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical records. Support equipment, tooling, and automation initiatives from concept through implementation. Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to identify and resolve technical issues. Generate reports, project updates, and technical documentation using Microsoft Office tools. Participate in process optimization efforts aimed at improving productivity, quality, and safety. Assist with equipment validation, testing, and process improvements. Support engineering change activities and ensure documentation accuracy.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field. Minimum of 1 year of experience in automation, manufacturing, or a related engineering environment. Experience working with industrial robots and/or collaborative robots (Cobots). Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SolidWorks. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including advanced reporting and data management. Experience working directly with production and technical personnel. Intermediate to advanced English communication skills. U.S. tourist visa
Preferred Qualifications Experience with the SolidWorks Sheet Metal module. Knowledge of AutoCAD. Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting. Experience with welding robots. Familiarity with ABB robots or similar automation platforms. Experience in machining or metal-mechanical manufacturing environments. Ability to support multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
