Whats unique about this job (What you’ll do)The Sustainability Specialist – Environmental Operations & Sustainability Programs is an environmental professional with sustainability knowledge responsible for supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of the Company’s Environmental Management System and environmental sustainability initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Company’s Environmental Management System (EMS) across all countries of operation.Support environmental policies, procedures, standards, and operational guidelines.Develop and deliver environmental and sustainability training, awareness activities, and engagement initiatives in English and Spanish.Build strong partnerships with Operations, Facilities, Safety teams, Environmental Data Owners, and other stakeholders to strengthen environmental ownership and accountability across the organization.Support corporate sustainability projects.Support sustainability reporting, ESG disclosures, assessments, certifications, surveys, and benchmarking activitiesCollaborate with Operations, Facilities, Supply Chain, Procurement, Safety, and other business functions to advance sustainability objectives.Coordinate with consultants, industry associations, and external partners as needed.Support preparation of presentations, reports, and communication materials for internal and external stakeholders.
Other relevant tasksHighly proactive and self-driven, with strong ownership and the ability to independently prioritize, execute, and drive initiatives in a fast-paced retail environmentStrong teamwork and collaboration skills in cross-functional and multicultural teams.Ability to take ownership of tasks and drive initiatives from concept to execution.
Bring your passion and expertise (Who you are)Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, or related field.Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar role, preferably within retail, consumer goods,logistics, or multi-site operational environment, with experience supporting environmental program implementation.Knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting and climate change and proven experience.Bilingualproficiencyin Spanish and English
