Sustaining Engineer

About the role

The Sustaining Engineer reports directly to the Sustaining Engineering Manager. Littelfuse is a diversified industrial technology manufacturing company serving customers across industrial, transportation, and electronics markets worldwide. The company designs and manufactures technologies that support electrification, energy efficiency, and advanced automation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and implement engineering changes to products and develop cost-reduction proposals (VAVE).
• Manage product certifications with regulatory agencies for Littelfuse products.
• Create and develop designs, applying DFSS and DFM skills as best practices in design development.
• Follow up on and support new launch projects, attend phase review meetings from phase 1 to 5, and define commitment dates for product validation activities.
• Develop preliminary drawings with the required change description and ensure marked-up drawings are created and delivered with all necessary information.
• Conduct feasibility analysis meetings with operations and service departments. If a change is approved, develop and track it until its release in the system.
• Manage product deviations on the internal system.
• Clarify technical application requirements for internal and external customers related to raw materials, product design, and specifications including ISO, IMDS, and RoHS.
