Systems Designer / AV Engineer

We are looking for a Systems Designer / AV Engineer who enjoys technology, problem-solving, and turning complex systems into clear, buildable designs to support one of our U.S.-based clients in creating exceptional travel experiences.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys figuring out how technology works together—from AV and automation to networking, lighting, shades, security, and infrastructure. You’ll take projects from proposal and design through detailed engineering documentation, making sure the field team has everything they need to build it right.
What You’ll Do Develop project proposals, bills of materials, and detailed system designs. Build and maintain accurate product information and engineering standards in D-Tools Cloud. Review designs and catch missing components, accessories, connections, power requirements, and other details before they become field issues. Create rack elevations, wiring diagrams, system schematics, and plan views. Document locations for TVs, speakers, keypads, lighting, shades, cameras, networking, and pre-wire. Calculate rack power, heat/BTU loads, ventilation, and equipment requirements. Update designs and documentation as projects evolve. Work closely with sales, project managers, programmers, technicians, and installers to solve design questions. Help improve and standardize our design processes, products, and documentation.

What We’re Looking For: You don't necessarily need to come from the residential AV industry. We’re interested in people with experience in AV, low-voltage, electrical design, IT/networking, systems integration, or other technical design fields.
Most importantly, you: Think in complete systems and understand how different technologies interact. Have a strong eye for detail and enjoy finding problems before they reach the field. Can read architectural and construction plans. Are comfortable learning new products, software, and design standards. Can manage multiple projects and priorities. Communicate clearly and work well with both technical and non-technical teams.
