GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is an outbound sales-oriented role responsible for converting leads into active, high-performing crews that agree to our client’s agreement, rates, operating procedures and, most importantly, commit to one or more slots. This position owns the full lifecycle from initial lead engagement through successful onboarding and the crew’s first 100 completed jobs, at which point a structured handoff is made to the Vendor Management team.
This role operates with a sales mindset. Specialists work from prescribed scripts and selling points to communicate the value of working with our client. The ability to effectively overcome objections, influence commitments, and onboard new crews are the critical drivers of success in the role. Additionally, the role may require active prospecting and lead generation for crews in certain zones. Although not a customer sales role, outbound sales and influence skills are required. Compensation includes performance-based incentives tied directly to hitting specific targets in new crew recruiting, slot commitment fulfillment, quality, and retention outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Engagement & Sales Conversion
Work inbound and outbound vendors leads using prescribed scripts, talking points, and value propositions to convert prospects into committed crew partners.Active prospecting and sourcing for crews in certain zones.Conduct structured phone and video screenings of prospects in needed areas to assess candidate qualifications, equipment readiness, crew capacity, geographic coverage, and alignment with our client’s service standards.Clearly articulate our client’s vendor partnership model, including route ownership, slot commitments (dedicated days per assigned zone), revenue opportunity, technology requirements, and service expectations.Meet or exceed daily and weekly candidate contact and hiring targets as defined by management.Maintain accurate, real-time lead status and activity records in CRM.
Onboarding & Documentation
Own the end-to-end onboarding process for approved vendors, including agreement execution, insurance verification, licensing documentation, and crew profile setup in our client’s CRM system.Coordinate post-approval setup including app installation, technology orientation, route assignment confirmation, and formal slot commitment documentation — securing the crew’s agreement to service specific zones on specific days of the week.Ensure all vendor compliance requirements are met and documented prior to the first service date.Provide clear, structured communication to new crews on expectations, escalation paths, and performance benchmarks.
Monitoring & Support
Monitored the first completed jobs for new hires (crew members).New identified at-risk hires during the ramp-up period to notify the Vendor Management Lead for immediate coaching, retraining, or performance escalation to meet service standards.
Structured Handoff Process
Evaluated hew hires readiness and performance trends to determine when a vendor was prepared for full-scale operations.Prepared comprehensive handoff packages for the Vendor Management Lead, including performance history, communication styles, and ongoing coaching notes.Participated in formal handoff meetings to ensure a seamless transition and consistent experience for the vendor and the client.
REQUIREMENTS
Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) – professional fluency in both written and verbal communication is required.2+ years of experience in recruiting or vendor acquisition role with documented performance against targets.A background in sales is highly desirable to enhance negotiation and cold calling capabilities.Experience with CRM or ATS systems; proficiency in maintaining accurate pipeline and activity records.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams).Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.Previous experience in field services, property maintenance, landscaping, or contractor/vendor management is a strong plus.
