About The JobThe primary objective of this position is to carry out promotional activities, generate demand, and provide technical field training for the products included in our business portfolio. Additionally, the position coordinates with LIFE - RID and is responsible for the design, establishment, execution, and evaluation of research field trials and tests in the Dominican Republic. The position has extensive knowledge of the country's main crops and our company's portfolio. The position also motivates and advises our clients, distributors, and users on the best ways to utilize our products. The position provides commercial support in defining technical strategies and crop plans. The position also maintains working relationships and monitors technical development plans with suppliers and cooperates with the Dominican Republic management team to achieve the company's commercial objectives. The position must be able to offer effective technical solutions to crop problems and be a good communicator with different audiences (technicians, farmers, suppliers, etc.).
Key ResponsibilitiesAchieve positive, long-term win-win experiences with the company's farmers, distributors, vendors, and advisors in the technical service and promotion process.Achieve positive, long-term win-win experiences with the company's suppliers and other relevant stakeholders such as agrochemical registration and management authorities, regents, consumers, certifying entities, etc.Maintain up-to-date information on the main technical problems of strategic crops and the best ways to solve them.Coordinates and executes the development of trials, tests, and technical projects.Supports the team of vendors and advisors in the sales process by providing expert technical advice.Assists in maintaining the company's relationship with its customers.Collects and communicates relevant information on changes in competitors' strategies, changes in customer needs, relevant issues related to key crops (e.g., new diseases or application techniques), etc.Coordinate ongoing training with suppliers and/or conduct training for vendors and customers on the company's portfolio and proper product use.Effectively represent the company's values through both personal and management experience.I am continuously trained in technical, cultivation, and skills development topics.Coordinate and conduct field technical product validations according to priorities coordinated with LIFE - RID (Amvac Latam's R&D department)
Skills, Knowledge, And Ability RequirementsTechnical Experience (minimum 1-3 years)Experience in managing local agricultural crops (e.g., rice, bananas, vegetables, avocado, tobacco, pineapple, citrus, etc.).Knowledge of pest, disease, and nutritional deficiency diagnosis.Management and recommendations for fertilizers, adjuvants, fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides.Knowledge of Agrochemical ProductsFamiliarity with the agrochemical product portfolio (brands, formulations, dosages, compatibility).Ability to interpret labels, safety data sheets, and technical data sheets.Pursues results with humility and cooperation to ensure the success of the entire company. A team player.Motivates those around him. The ability to drive and make things happen.Challenges dogmas and avoids mediocrity.Maintains customer focus.It is proactive and can operate independently without needing to be given all the "coordinates." Work EnvironmentOffice work to plan and prepare visits and meetings with clients and distributors.Use of digital tools and business and agricultural management software.Frequent travel to different farms, farms, and rural areas.Direct on-site assessment and advice for potential and existing clients.Use of a company vehicle to travel to different locations and agricultural areas.Shifts may vary in length, including daily commutes and occasional long commutes.Constant communication with agricultural producers, technicians, and other agricultural sector officials.Participation in trade shows, industry events, and technical presentations.Possibility of conducting field activities during different times of the year.
