Job Summary:
The Title Policy Support Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive post-cancellation support for title insurance agents whose agency agreements have been terminated. This position manages requests for corrective endorsements, lost or replacement title policies, policy copies, and the creation of previously unissued policies. The specialist serves as a resource to cancelled agents and internal departments, ensuring requests are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company underwriting requirements and procedures.
Job Roles:
Corrective Endorsements: Review and process requests for corrective title policy endorsements for cancelled agent policies. Prepare and issue corrective endorsements in accordance with underwriting guidelines and company procedures. Maintain accurate records of all endorsement requests and completed transactions.Lost or Replacement Policies:Process requests for lost, misplaced, or replacement title insurance policies. Research policy records and verify policy information prior to issuing replacement documentation. Prepare replacement policies or documentation in accordance with company requirements. Ensure replacement policies accurately reflect the original policy and applicable endorsements. Maintain appropriate documentation and tracking of policy-copy requests.Policy Copies and Records:Respond to requests for copies of previously issued title policies and related documents. Locate and retrieve policy records from electronic and/or archived systems. Maintain appropriate documentation and tracking of policy-copy requests.Unissued Policies: Research and create policies that were never issued by cancelled agents when appropriate. Review commitments, closing documentation, settlement statements, and other available records to determine the appropriate policy information. Coordinate with underwriting and other internal departments when additional information or approval is required to ensure newly created policies comply with company procedures and underwriting requirements. Maintain appropriate documentation and tracking of policy requests.Customer and Agent Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for lenders, owners and cancelled agents regarding policy servicing and historical policy matters. Communicate clearly and professionally with agents, attorneys, lenders, internal departments, and other stakeholders. Explain documentation requirements and assist with resolving issues or incomplete requests.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of title insurance policies, endorsements, commitments, and closing documentation preferred. Ability to interpret and compare historical policy and transaction records.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to use specialized title and policy systems. Ability to manage multiple requests, prioritize workload, and meet established deadlines. Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance or underwriting approval.Bachelor’s degree.Advanced English skills
