Tool Designer / Fixture Designer Contract Job in El Cajon, CA

Prashant Singh is seeking a skilled Tool Designer / Fixture Designer for a contract position in El Cajon, California. This role focuses on aerospace tooling design and fixture creation to improve manufacturing efficiency and production quality. Key Responsibilities Design aerospace tooling and fixtures following project specifications and industry standards. Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T) to ensure design precision. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes. Create and update designs using CAD software. Support assembly process planning with effective tooling solutions. Review, test, and validate tooling designs for functionality and compliance. Participate in project meetings to report progress and incorporate feedback. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Production Engineering. Proficient in aerospace tooling design and knowledgeable in manufacturing methods. Strong understanding of assembly processes. Experience with CAD software is essential. Familiarity with GD&T is required. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure tooling solutions meet manufacturing requirements and industry standards. The Tool Designer / Fixture Designer will report directly to the engineering manager to align design projects with company goals. Compensation: $50 per hour Location: On-site in El Cajon, California (no remote option)
