Key Responsibilities Safely operate a 53ft Dry Van truck in compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations to maintain a spotless safety record. Transport goods to assigned destinations, ensuring on-time delivery and maintaining the integrity of shipments throughout transit. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify and report any mechanical or safety issues promptly, minimizing downtime. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery schedules, resolve issues, and provide updates on shipment status. Deliver excellent customer service by professionally interacting with clients and representatives, clarifying shipment details and addressing concerns. Navigate efficiently using GPS and traditional maps, adapting routes proactively to avoid delays caused by traffic, weather, or road conditions. Collaborate closely with the Transportation Manager and team to optimize route planning and improve operational efficiency. What We're Looking For Required: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Minimum of 2 years of professional truck driving experience, preferably with 53ft Dry Van operations. Strong communication skills for clear coordination with dispatch and customers. Proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritize safety on the road. Experience performing vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshooting common issues. Problem-solving skills to handle unforeseen circumstances such as route changes or mechanical problems. Preferred: Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance standards.
