Truck and Forklift Mechanic Job in Houston, TX

Peace Global Logistics is hiring a skilled Truck/Forklift Mechanic in Houston, Texas. Join our team to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on forklifts and other equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement repairs Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies Repair and replace parts as needed, ensuring equipment is in good working condition Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance schedules and repair logs Collaborate with the production team to minimize downtime and support efficient operations Requirements: Minimum 2 years experience as a forklift mechanic or in a similar role Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems Forklift repair certification preferred or ability to obtain Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Physically able to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks Skills: Hydraulic systems repair and maintenance Electrical systems troubleshooting and repair Mechanical systems repair and maintenance Forklift operation and safety procedures Use of diagnostic tools and equipment Record-keeping and reporting accuracy Time management and organizational skills Strong communication and teamwork abilities Shift Availability: Day Shift (Preferred) Night Shift (Preferred) Overnight Shift (Preferred) Pay Rate: $32 per hour Location: Houston, Texas, United States Job Type: Full-Time (On-site)
