Carol Morgan School (CMS) is seeking for a Temporary Volleyball Coordinator, this position provides leadership and coordination for the Middle School and High School volleyball programs while serving as a team coach. The Coordinator works closely with the Athletic Director and coaching staff to ensure a consistent, positive, competitive, and developmentally appropriate volleyball experience aligned with the school’s athletics philosophy.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership & CoordinationCoordinate the Middle School and High School volleyball programs in collaboration with the Athletic Director. Establish consistent coaching philosophies, expectations, terminology, and player-development standards across both divisions. Assist with annual planning for tryouts, practices, competitions, tournaments, facilities, equipment, and schedules. Support the development of a progressive volleyball program that prepares athletes for continued development from Middle School through High School. Identify program needs and recommend improvements to the Athletic Director.CoachingCoach a Middle School and/or High School volleyball team as assigned by the Athletic Director.Plan and conduct organized, purposeful, and developmentally appropriate practices.Teach volleyball skills, strategies, teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship.Prepare teams for competitions and tournaments and provide constructive feedback to student-athletes.Establish and maintain high standards for attendance, effort, behavior, accountability, and sportsmanship.Coach Collaboration & DevelopmentWork closely with all volleyball coaches to promote consistency and program alignment.Support and mentor volleyball coaches, particularly new or less-experienced coaches.Share effective drills, coaching strategies, and player-development resources.Participate in required Athletics Department meetings and professional development.Student-Athlete DevelopmentPromote the technical, tactical, physical, mental, and personal development of student-athletes.Foster leadership, resilience, teamwork, confidence, integrity, and a growth mindset.Support a smooth progression of athletes from Middle School to High School volleyball.Promote academic success and adherence to school and Athletics Department expectations.
Required Competencies:Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Previous volleyball coaching experience.Strong knowledge of volleyball skills, strategies, and player development.Experience working with middle and/or high school athletes.Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Commitment to student-athlete development, sportsmanship, and educational athletics.Ability to collaborate effectively with coaches, administrators, students, and families.
Preferred Competencies:Collegiate or high-level volleyball playing/coaching experience.Experience coordinating a volleyball program.Volleyball coaching certification.First Aid/CPR/AED certification.Experience working in an international school environment.
Schedule:Monday to Friday from 2:00pm - 7:00pmAs well as friendly games, league games, and weekends during tournament events.
