Web Developer

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Web Developer to design, develop, and maintain responsive, user-friendly websites and web applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla. This role requires a strong understanding of front-end web development, browser debugging tools, version control, and web standards to deliver high-quality digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update responsive websites using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.- Build and customize websites using WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla.- Convert UI/UX designs into clean, semantic, and responsive HTML/CSS code.- Customize CMS themes, templates, and plugins/modules based on business requirements.- Ensure websites are compatible across multiple browsers and devices.- Debug and troubleshoot front-end issues using Browser Developer Tools.- Optimize website performance, accessibility, and SEO best practices.- Maintain website source code using Git and participate in version control workflows.- Collaborate with designers, content creators, developers, and stakeholders to implement website enhancements.- Perform website testing, bug fixes, and ongoing maintenance.- Follow web development standards, coding best practices, and security guidelines.- Document development processes and technical implementations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.- 2+ years of experience in front-end or web development.- Strong proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3.- Basic to intermediate knowledge of JavaScript.- Experience developing and maintaining websites using WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla.- Experience writing clean, standards-compliant HTML and CSS code.- Proficiency using Browser Developer Tools (Chrome DevTools, Firefox Developer Tools, etc.) for debugging and troubleshooting.- Experience with Git for source code management and collaboration.- Understanding of responsive web design principles and cross-browser compatibility.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience customizing WordPress themes and plugins.- Familiarity with CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.- Basic understanding of PHP for CMS customization.- Knowledge of website accessibility (WCAG) standards.- Familiarity with SEO best practices.- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.- Understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
