Accountant Independent Contractor in Mexico City, Mexico

Vyagale’s Academy is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team as an Independent Contractor based in Mexico City, Mexico. This role offers a flexible work schedule and the opportunity to manage financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and contribute to the financial health of our organization. Key Responsibilities Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements for accuracy and regulatory compliance. Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial reports reflecting the organization’s financial status. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Reconcile bank statements and accurately record all transactions in the financial system. Conduct internal audits and assist with external audit preparations. Collaborate with team members to oversee financial processes and improve efficiency. Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations and deadlines. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field. Proven experience as an accountant or similar role, preferably as an independent contractor. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP and Microsoft Excel. 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
