Now, we’re looking for a dedicated Accounts Receivable & Month-end Bookkeeping Specialist to join our finance team in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. This is an on-site, full-time opportunity offering a competitive salary of $30,000 MXN per month, with excellent career development and advancement opportunities. Join us to play a critical role in managing invoicing, collections, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, the company owner, and external accounting partners to ensure accurate financial records and maintain cash flow visibility. Key Responsibilities Prepare and submit customer invoices aligned with project milestones and billing schedules to ensure timely payments. Track and follow up on accounts receivable by sending reminders and making collection calls to maintain healthy cash flow. Prepare lien releases and verify all documentation to facilitate smooth payment processing. Enter and monitor change orders (COs) for billing accuracy and update records accordingly. Assist with accounts payable check runs and coordinate with vendors to support smooth financial operations. Monitor and forecast weekly and monthly cash flow to support financial planning and decision-making. Support budget data entry and reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records. Perform month-end close procedures including bank reconciliations, recording adjusting journal entries, and reviewing financial reports for accuracy. What We're Looking For Required: Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts receivable and bookkeeping, preferably within construction or engineering sectors. Strong knowledge of invoicing, collections, and month-end close processes. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial data management. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external partners. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities. Preferred: Experience working with federal or military contracts is a plus. Familiarity with change orders and lien release documentation. Ability to analyze cash flow trends and support budgeting activities. Demonstrated eagerness for career growth and learning new financial systems.
