Key Responsibilities Perform precise welding tasks on mining components adhering to strict safety and quality standards. Maintain and repair machinery to ensure optimal production efficiency and minimize downtime. Collaborate with fellow artisans and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly. Conduct regular inspections to detect wear and tear, performing preventative maintenance as required. Accurately document all maintenance and welding activities for compliance and future reference. Assist in training junior artisans on welding techniques and safety protocols to uphold high standards. Engage in project initiatives aimed at enhancing operational performance and workplace safety. Required and Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent qualification. Proven welding experience, preferably in mining or industrial environments. Strong knowledge of welding techniques, safety procedures, and industry best practices. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications. Welding certification is preferred but not mandatory. Experience with welding equipment and tools relevant to mining operations. Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar artisan welding role. As part of our structured team, you will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and work closely with operators and engineers to ensure seamless operations. This role is not remote and requires on-site presence at our Brits facility.
