Key Responsibilities Perform welding tasks on various mining components ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Maintain and repair machinery and equipment to maximize production efficiency. Collaborate with artisans and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues. Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to reduce downtime. Document all maintenance and welding activities accurately for compliance and reference. Assist in training junior artisans on welding techniques and safety protocols. Participate in projects aimed at improving operational performance and safety measures. Required and Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2-3 years welding experience, preferably in mining or industrial settings. Strong knowledge of welding techniques, safety procedures, and best practices. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Welding certification preferred but not mandatory. Experience with mining-relevant welding equipment and tools. You will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and work closely with operators and engineers, fostering a collaborative and safety-focused work culture.
