As part of our dynamic team, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate submission of special education data to the Colorado Department of Education (CDE), in compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the Exceptional Children’s Education Act (ECEA). This role is based on-site in Nueva Santa Rosa and is not eligible for remote work, providing you with direct engagement and collaboration opportunities within our local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the collection, verification, and submission of special education data to the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) in strict compliance with IDEA and ECEA regulations.
- Support the Professional Learning Coordinator and Director by organizing and maintaining accurate records for professional learning programs at Mountain BOCES.
- Develop and maintain data reporting systems that ensure data integrity and timely delivery of reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to resolve data discrepancies and improve reporting processes.
- Monitor compliance deadlines and ensure all submissions meet state and federal requirements, reducing risk of penalties.
- Train staff on data entry protocols and reporting standards to enhance overall data quality and consistency.
- Analyze data trends to provide actionable insights that support special education program improvements.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive student and program data in accordance with privacy laws.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data management, preferably within special education or educational administration.
- Strong knowledge of IDEA and ECEA compliance requirements and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in data management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
