Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive field research to evaluate plant diversity and ecosystem health. Identify and document plant species using detailed data collection and analysis techniques. Apply laboratory methods to support ecological and environmental studies. Produce precise botanical illustrations for research publications and presentations. Collaborate on conservation biology projects to promote sustainable environmental practices. Work with interdisciplinary teams to integrate ecological data into broader conservation strategies. Present research outcomes to stakeholders and engage in community outreach initiatives. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Botany, or related field. Proven expertise in plant identification and ecological data analysis. Experience with fieldwork and laboratory research techniques. Knowledge of conservation biology and environmental assessment protocols. Preferred certifications relevant to botany or ecology. Proficiency in data analysis software and botanical illustration tools. Minimum of 2 years professional experience in a related role. The successful candidate will report to the Lead Botanist and collaborate closely with a team of researchers dedicated to addressing critical environmental challenges in Panama.
