HealthAid Trust is seeking a compassionate Caregiver for Elderly Patients to join our dedicated team in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. This full-time role offers a meaningful opportunity to improve the quality of life for elderly clients through personalized care and companionship. Key Responsibilities Assist elderly patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being. Administer medications and monitor health conditions according to care plans. Communicate regularly with family members regarding patient status and needs. Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary living environment for clients. Document daily activities and report any changes in patient conditions to healthcare professionals. Engage patients in activities that encourage mental and physical stimulation. Required and Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong compassion, patience, and interpersonal skills when working with elderly individuals. Effective communication skills to liaise with patients and their families. Previous caregiving or healthcare experience preferred but not mandatory. Certifications such as First Aid and CPR are advantageous.
