Key Responsibilities Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints to determine specifications and installation requirements for cement block structures. Block Installation: Measure, cut, and lay cement blocks using proper tools and techniques ensuring precision and durability. Concrete Finishing: Finish concrete surfaces to achieve smooth, professional, and aesthetically pleasing results. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment on-site. Team Collaboration: Work closely with carpenters, general laborers, and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks and meet project timelines. Tool Maintenance: Keep masonry tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety and efficiency. Continuous Learning: Engage in training and skill development to stay updated with industry standards and new techniques. Required and Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Proven masonry experience, especially with cement blocks. Strong skills in blueprint reading and concrete finishing. Knowledge of masonry safety practices. Proficiency with trowels and other masonry tools. Minimum 2 years of masonry experience preferred. Masonry certification or related credentials are a plus. Work Environment: This full-time position is based in Sarasota, FL, and requires onsite presence. You will report to the project supervisor and collaborate with a skilled team to deliver quality masonry projects. Compensation: $28 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
