Restaurant Chef & Kitchen Staff – Ludington, MI

Mexican Cafe is hiring a full-time Restaurant Chef and Kitchen Staff member in Ludington, Michigan. Join the team at our new Mexican restaurant and help prepare flavorful dishes in a friendly, collaborative kitchen. This is an on-site role for someone who enjoys cooking, teamwork, and contributing to a welcoming guest experience. Training is available, and prior kitchen experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Mexican dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Follow food safety and sanitation practices throughout kitchen operations.
• Contribute ideas to menu development and new offerings.
• Monitor food inventory, maintain ingredient freshness, and help reduce waste.
• Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house team members to support efficient operations and timely service.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and safe.
• Communicate dietary needs and guest preferences to the appropriate team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated cooking skills and enthusiasm for preparing food.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask, manage time, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Kitchen experience is preferred; training will be provided.
