We're looking for a skilled Civil Designer with at least 5 years of civil engineering experience to join our team in a fully remote capacity. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams to develop rail and transportation infrastructure designs that meet client specifications and regulatory standards. Prepare detailed engineering drawings, exhibits, and design plans using MicroStation and OpenRoads , ensuring precision and compliance. Support project managers with quality control, design oversight, specification development, and budget tracking to maintain project timelines and cost efficiency. Develop roadway modeler templates, generate cross sections, and define mass grading parameters for track and roadway projects to optimize constructability. Utilize survey datasets to create accurate engineering drawings and digital maps, facilitating seamless project execution. Update and finalize design plans for submission to transportation and railroad agencies, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory requirements. Manage project documentation, schedules, and progress updates, coordinating design efforts across internal teams to ensure timely delivery. Prepare construction cost estimates, plans, and specifications supporting rail-related design packages, contributing to successful project bids and execution. What We're Looking For Required: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering design, preferably in transportation infrastructure projects. Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads software for CAD drafting and design. Strong understanding of roadway and rail design principles, including mass grading and cross-section development. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction personnel. Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality control and accuracy in all deliverables. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple projects efficiently. Preferred: Experience working with transportation agencies and railroad regulatory requirements. Familiarity with project management tools and budget tracking.
