Civil Designer - Remote Opportunity in Plano, TX

Civil Designer – Remote (Full-Time) Bluebix Solutions, a growing engineering consultancy, is seeking an experienced Civil Designer with at least 5 years of civil engineering experience to support transportation infrastructure design projects. Position Overview The Civil Designer will be responsible for preparing engineering drawings, exhibits, and design plans using MicroStation and OpenRoads . You will collaborate with project managers and multi-disciplinary teams to contribute to design, production, and delivery of transportation projects across sectors including agriculture, chemical, building materials, aggregates, and energy. Primary Responsibilities Collaborate with engineering teams and construction staff on rail and transportation design projects. Support project management tasks such as quality control, design oversight, specifications, and budget tracking. Create concept aerial drawings, design plan/profile sheets, and detailed CAD outputs using MicroStation/OpenRoads . Develop roadway modeler templates, generate cross sections, and define mass grading for track projects. Prepare engineering drawings and digital maps utilizing survey datasets as needed. Update, modify, and finalize plans for submission to transportation or railroad agencies. Manage project documentation, schedules, progress updates, and coordinate design efforts internally. Prepare plans, specifications, construction cost estimates, and assist in developing rail-related design packages. Review and self-check all deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance with drafting standards. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering design, preferably in transportation infrastructure. Proficiency with MicroStation and OpenRoads software. Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
