Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards on construction sites, ensuring compliance with South African safety regulations. Develop , implement, and continuously update safety policies and procedures aligned with SACPCMP standards and local legislation. Provide comprehensive safety training and clear guidelines to employees and subcontractors to promote safe work practices. Monitor site activities through regular inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies. Investigate accidents and near misses promptly, analyze root causes, and recommend effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate closely with project managers and onsite teams to address safety concerns and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Prepare detailed safety reports and maintain accurate records of incidents, damages, and compliance audits. Champion a culture of safety awareness and accountability across all levels of the workforce. What We're Looking For Required: Diploma in Safety Management or a related discipline recognized by SACPCMP. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a safety role within the construction industry. Proficiency in risk assessment techniques and safety management systems. Strong knowledge of South African occupational health and safety regulations and industry standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse teams. Preferred: Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety qualifications. Experience working on large-scale construction projects in South Africa. Demonstrated ability to lead safety training sessions and workshops.
