DBT Developer Contract Job in San Jose, CA

We are seeking a highly skilled DBT Developer (Data Build Tool Specialist) to join our team on a contractual basis in San Jose, California. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain DBT models to transform raw data into actionable insights. Create and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation. Design and implement data models supporting data warehousing initiatives. Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless data flow and data integrity. Participate in data quality assessments and troubleshoot issues. Document data models and processes for compliance and future reference. Engage with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver tailored solutions. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. Proven experience with DBT, SQL, and Snowflake. Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques and data warehousing principles. Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Familiarity with cloud data platforms is a plus. 2-5 years of experience in a data development role. The DBT Developer will report to the Data Engineering Manager and collaborate closely with data analysts, business intelligence teams, and other stakeholders to align data strategies. This is a contract position based in San Jose, California, with no remote work option.
