Key Responsibilities Install, commission, and maintain electrical systems, power equipment, and control panels at customer sites, ensuring operational reliability. Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting to isolate faults and replace components efficiently, minimizing downtime. Conduct scheduled and emergency service visits to meet customer requirements and maintain system integrity. Adhere strictly to safety protocols including OSHA and NFPA 70E standards, and enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures to protect personnel and equipment. Maintain accurate and detailed service logs, test reports, and equipment documentation to support compliance and continuous improvement. Provide expert technical guidance and training to customer personnel, enhancing their operational knowledge and system handling. Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding system status, repair timelines, and preventive maintenance strategies. Apply military discipline and situational awareness to field operations, ensuring mission-critical tasks are executed with precision and accountability. What We're Looking For Required: Proven experience in electrical field service, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and electromechanical systems. Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards such as OSHA and NFPA 70E. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills for customer interaction and team collaboration. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the Portland area. Preferred: Military background in the U.S. Army or U.S. Navy with technical training in electrical systems. Experience working in fast-paced, mission-critical environments requiring disciplined work habits. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
