Enterprise Architect / Kafka Architect in Maclean, VA

PeoplePilot is seeking a skilled Enterprise Architect / Kafka Architect to join our innovative team in Maclean, VA. This full-time role focuses on designing and optimizing scalable event-driven architectures using Kafka and Confluent technologies to enhance data integration and processing capabilities. Key Responsibilities Design and implement scalable, high-performance event-driven architecture solutions using Kafka and Confluent platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data integration strategies aligned with business objectives. Analyze existing systems to identify improvements and integrate Kafka Streams and ksqlDB for advanced data processing. Lead technical workshops and presentations to promote Kafka best practices across teams. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Kafka environments to ensure efficient and reliable data flow. Document architecture designs, decisions, and standards for ongoing reference and training. Engage stakeholders to gather requirements and refine system functionality to meet evolving business needs. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. 5+ years of experience in software architecture with a focus on Kafka and Confluent technologies. Proficiency in cloud services and data integration methodologies. Strong understanding of event-driven architecture principles. Experience with Kafka Streams and ksqlDB for real-time data processing. Deep knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architecture. Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a collaborative environment.
