As a Finance Project Manager based in Panamá, you will play a pivotal role in managing project financials from execution through formal handover, collaborating closely with project managers and cost analysts. Key Responsibilities

Lead cost controlling activities and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting for assigned work packages.
Provide clear and transparent data on costs to date and forecast costs at completion to support informed decision-making.
Supervise and mentor a team of cost controllers and analysts to maintain high standards of financial accuracy and accountability.
Collaborate with Project Managers to align financial targets with project objectives and milestones.
Monitor budget adherence and identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting key insights and risks.
Support the financial close-out process including Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC) and formal project handover.
Implement best practices in project cost management and continuously improve financial processes.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in project finance, cost controlling, or financial management roles.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control techniques specific to project environments.
Proven leadership skills with experience supervising financial teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Fluent English communication skills; Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Preferred:

Experience working in the Panama market or Latin American region.
Familiarity with project management software and ERP financial systems.
Certification such as PMP, CPA, or CMA is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
