As a Finance Project Manager based in Panamá, you will play a pivotal role in managing project financials from execution through formal handover, collaborating closely with project managers and cost analysts. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cost controlling activities and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting for assigned work packages.
  • Provide clear and transparent data on costs to date and forecast costs at completion to support informed decision-making.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of cost controllers and analysts to maintain high standards of financial accuracy and accountability.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to align financial targets with project objectives and milestones.
  • Monitor budget adherence and identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting key insights and risks.
  • Support the financial close-out process including Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC) and formal project handover.
  • Implement best practices in project cost management and continuously improve financial processes.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project finance, cost controlling, or financial management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control techniques specific to project environments.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience supervising financial teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Fluent English communication skills; Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in the Panama market or Latin American region.
  • Familiarity with project management software and ERP financial systems.
  • Certification such as PMP, CPA, or CMA is advantageous.
