Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Heavy-duty Equipment Mechanic to join our Etobicoke team. This full-time, permanent role requires expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment to keep our fleet operating at peak performance. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and inspect heavy equipment to identify faults and malfunctions Diagnose issues using computerized diagnostic tools and testing equipment across systems including internal combustion engines, DC electrical, propane, hydraulics, and fuel systems Perform major repairs and replace defective parts independently using hand tools and measuring instruments Test repaired equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, lubrication, tire replacements, hose and battery repairs Service attachments and working tools, including reconditioning and repairs Qualifications Proven experience as a heavy-duty equipment mechanic or similar role Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with computerized equipment Ability to work independently and maintain high safety standards Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems Valid certifications and licenses as required Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay at $40 per hour with full-time permanent employment status.
