Job description
Grupo Queyám is seeking a dedicated Academic Researcher in Economics to join our team in Ambato, Tungurahua, Ecuador. This full-time position offers an engaging academic environment where economic research and analysis are essential. Your work will contribute significantly to advancing knowledge and practical applications in economics. Key Responsibilities Conduct applied and theoretical economic research to advance the discipline. Develop and implement econometric models for economic data analysis. Write academic articles and present findings at conferences and seminars. Collaborate with academics and professionals on interdisciplinary research projects. Manage time effectively to meet research deadlines and goals. Supervise undergraduate and graduate students in research projects. Assist in preparing funding proposals for research initiatives. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Economics or related fields. Proven experience in economic research, preferably with econometric modeling. Strong accounting skills and excellent time management. Excellent academic writing skills in Spanish. Proficiency with statistical and econometric software (e.g., STATA, R). More than 3 years of academic or relevant sector research experience is a plus. The technical environment includes commonly used economic research tools and software. You will work closely with a team of researchers and academics, reporting to the research director.
