Legal Advisor in Energy and Mining - Jijel, Algeria

Jalal is seeking a dedicated Legal Advisor in Energy and Mining to join our team in Jijel, Algeria. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity to support legal operations within the growing energy and mining sectors. You will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, mitigating risks, and supporting project success in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis specific to energy and mining industries. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to energy and mining projects. Provide expert legal counsel on compliance with local, national, and international regulations. Assist in dispute resolution and develop litigation strategies when necessary. Collaborate closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance in operational strategies. Stay updated on evolving legal developments in the energy and mining sectors. Prepare comprehensive legal documentation and reports for internal stakeholders and management. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Law is mandatory. Minimum 5 years of experience in legal advisory roles, preferably within energy and mining sectors. Strong skills in legal research, analysis, and writing. Proficiency with legal software and contract management tools. Familiarity with industry-standard certifications is an advantage. As a Legal Advisor, you will report directly to the Head of Legal Affairs and work within a collaborative team environment that encourages open communication and cross-departmental synergy. This position is based in Jijel and is not eligible for remote work.
