Key Responsibilities

Interpret medical appointments accurately and confidentially between English and Spanish speakers using OPI and VRI platforms.
Facilitate clear communication between patients and healthcare providers to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and local privacy regulations to protect patient information.
Document interpretation sessions and provide timely feedback to supervisors to ensure quality control.
Collaborate with medical staff to clarify terminology and context, enhancing interpretation accuracy.
Manage multiple interpretation requests efficiently, meeting or exceeding service level agreements.
Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current with medical terminology and interpretation best practices.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

Fluency in English and Spanish with excellent verbal communication skills in both languages.
Proven experience in medical interpretation, preferably with OPI and VRI technologies.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare processes.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism under pressure.
High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical interpretation is a plus.
Availability to work full-time on-site in Pereira, Risaralda.
