PHP Lead – San Jose, United States

We’re looking for a seasoned PHP Lead to join us full-time on-site and drive the development of scalable, secure enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering skill growth and improving overall team performance.
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level applications using PHP frameworks such as Laravel and Symfony, ensuring high-quality code delivery.
• Implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture to support scalable and modular software solutions.
• Integrate application security best practices throughout the development lifecycle to protect sensitive data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers and QA to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Monitor application performance metrics and proactively troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal functionality and uptime.
• Oversee code reviews and enforce coding standards to ensure maintainability and consistency across projects.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 5 years of professional PHP development experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong proficiency with PHP, Laravel, Symfony, Java, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Experience implementing application security best practices and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

Preferred:

• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Zend Certified PHP Engineer, AWS Certified Developer).
• Experience working in agile development environments.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
