Role Overview As a Procurement Specialist, your mission is to ensure the right materials are in the right place, at the right time, and cost, eliminating preventable emergencies. You will manage weekly ordering and inventory for cold-chain and food packaging, support warehouse and 3PL partnerships, and continuously benchmark market pricing and specifications to drive improvements. This is a hands-on, spreadsheet-intensive role without ERP systems. You will maintain and improve Google Sheets, trackers, and playbooks that are accurate, clean, and easily transferable. Key Responsibilities Maintain par levels and weeks-of-cover for packaging SKUs including liners, ice packs, corrugate, jars, lids, labels, and inserts across HQ and 3PL locations. Place weekly and monthly purchase orders with clear cadence, accurate lead times, and visible delivery dates for operations and warehouse teams. Track inbound shipments, reconcile receipts with purchase orders and vendor packing lists, and resolve discrepancies promptly. Support relationships with warehouse and 3PL partners to ensure smooth logistics and inventory flow. Regularly re-benchmark market pricing and product specifications to improve cost efficiency and quality. Maintain and enhance procurement trackers and playbooks to ensure data integrity and operational continuity. Qualifications Experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in perishable food, DTC, or CPG sectors. Strong proficiency with spreadsheets (Google Sheets) and data management. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work remotely with Pacific Time overlap and collaborate cross-functionally. Problem-solving mindset with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
