Regional Wash Advisor – Panamá

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of WASH strategies aligned with regional child welfare goals, ensuring technical excellence and program effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with regional leadership, the Global Center WASH director, and World Vision US leadership to establish and maintain technical guidelines and standards.
- Provide expert advisory support to country teams within the CA-4 region, enhancing ministry impact through evidence-based WASH interventions.
- Monitor and evaluate program outcomes using key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement and report on progress to stakeholders.
- Facilitate capacity-building workshops and training sessions to strengthen local WASH expertise and sustainability.
- Engage with external partners, government agencies, and community leaders to foster collaboration and resource mobilization.
- Ensure compliance with international WASH standards and donor requirements, maintaining high-quality program delivery.
- Contribute to research and knowledge sharing to keep the organization at the forefront of WASH innovations and best practices.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in WASH program design, implementation, and evaluation, preferably in Latin America.
- Strong knowledge of WASH technical standards, child welfare linkages, and regional development contexts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Spanish.
- Proven ability to work effectively in remote and multicultural teams.
- Experience with monitoring & evaluation tools and data-driven decision making.
Preferred:
- Experience working with international NGOs or multilateral organizations.
- Familiarity with CA-4 countries’ WASH policies and community engagement strategies.
- Project management certification or training.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.
