We are seeking a Senior Epic Beacon Certified Analyst with extensive Epic implementation experience to support a critical 6+ month contract role based in New York City. As part of our team, you will engage directly with clinical stakeholders to optimize Epic Beacon Oncology workflows, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient clinical systems. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and document detailed business and clinical requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Interview end users, clinical staff, and project sponsors to accurately assess and capture clinical needs.
- Translate requirements into functional and technical specifications, including data sources, user roles, interfaces, and reporting needs.
- Define external interfaces, constraints, quality standards, and non-functional requirements to guide development.
- Identify risks and gaps in workflows and collaborate with teams to develop effective solutions.
- Lead meetings and validation sessions to ensure stakeholder consensus and clear communication of project progress.
- Support development teams by verifying that deliverables meet defined requirements and quality benchmarks.
- Manage change control documentation and update requirements as projects evolve.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, release notes, training materials, and user documentation to facilitate smooth deployments.
- Support unit acceptance testing (UAT) and assist with system deployments to production environments.
- Provide application and end-user support, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Mentor junior analysts and review their work to ensure quality and consistency.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of clinical workflows.
- Participate in special projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and commitment.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Epic Beacon certification with proven experience in Epic Beacon Oncology implementations.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical business analysis experience within healthcare IT.
- Strong ability to engage clinical stakeholders and translate clinical workflows into technical requirements.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
- Proven track record of leading validation sessions and managing change control processes.
- Experience with unit acceptance testing (UAT) and system deployment support.
- Ability to work onsite in New York City with some remote collaboration.
Preferred:
- Experience mentoring junior analysts and leading project presentations.
- Knowledge of oncology clinical workflows and healthcare regulatory standards.
