We’re looking for a bilingual Specialist Lawyer fluent in Spanish and advanced English to join us on-site and play a pivotal role in maximizing company efficiencies, increasing revenue streams, and protecting our brand’s intellectual property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise company leadership on legal matters related to entertainment law, intellectual property, and contract management to mitigate risks and support business growth.
  • Develop and implement effective royalty collection strategies that maximize revenue for our clients and the company.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies, focusing on scalability and efficiency.
  • Manage intellectual property ownership issues, including copyrights and trademarks, to safeguard company assets.
  • Collaborate with finance, administration, and human resources teams to provide legal support on labor laws, compliance, and administrative matters.
  • Maintain direct and regular communication with executive leadership to align legal strategies with business objectives.
  • Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations in Mexico and internationally to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Support dispute resolution processes and represent the company in negotiations when necessary.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • Law degree with a specialization or significant experience in entertainment law.
  • Fluent bilingual proficiency in Spanish and advanced English (written and spoken).
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in an entertainment or intellectual property legal role.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican labor, finance, and administrative law relevant to corporate environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and contract management skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in-house within the music or broader entertainment industry.
  • Familiarity with international copyright and royalty collection frameworks.
  • Proactive problem solver with a growth mindset and eagerness to learn new legal areas.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
