This full-time role is essential for operating and maintaining sewage treatment plants (STP) and effluent treatment plants (ETP) to ensure environmental safety and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor sewage and effluent treatment plants daily to maintain optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues affecting plant operations promptly. Conduct routine maintenance checks and ensure all equipment functions efficiently. Document and report any deviations from operational standards or procedures accurately. Ensure strict compliance with local and national Pollution Control Board (PCB) regulations related to water treatment. Collaborate with team members to optimize treatment processes and improve operational efficiency. Assist in training new staff on operational procedures and safety protocols to maintain high standards. Required and Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent educational qualification. Basic knowledge of water treatment processes and plant operations. Experience in troubleshooting technical issues within treatment plants. Understanding of local PCB regulations and compliance requirements. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory. This position requires working within a structured team environment, reporting to a plant manager or senior operator. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to address technical challenges and implement process improvements effectively.
