Job Title: Surgical Technologist II - 2 Positions Location: Katy, TX 77094 Job Type: Full-time, 3 Months Contract Shift Details: Day shift positions available: one 8-hour shift (06:45 AM - 3:15 PM CST) and one 10-hour shift (06:45 AM - 5:15 PM CST). Worksite: Texas Children’s Hospital, West Campus, Katy, Texas. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and assist in setting up the operating room tailored to patient age and surgical procedure requirements, including knowledge of surgical pathology, allergy awareness, and special equipment preparation such as implants and prostheses. Anticipate surgeon needs by efficiently opening and making supplies available in a cost-effective manner, collaborating with circulating nurses and referencing preference cards when necessary. Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments 100% of the time in compliance with established policies. Assist in specimen care and labeling with full accuracy. Participate in ongoing professional development through in-services and continuing education opportunities. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Surgical Technologist, preferably in pediatric or hospital settings. Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and sterile techniques. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work day shifts as specified. Compensation: $104,000 per year.
