Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead technical support efforts for wide web flexographic and gravure customers, ensuring effective use of water-based and solvent-based inks and coatings.
  • Conduct onsite troubleshooting and ink optimization to improve print quality and reduce defects, achieving measurable customer satisfaction improvements.
  • Coordinate and lead press trials, product introductions, and technical audits at customer sites to validate product performance and application suitability.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, sales, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to develop tailored technical solutions that meet evolving customer needs.
  • Develop and implement technical service strategies that support customer retention, drive growth, and foster innovation in printing ink applications.
  • Provide expert guidance on pressroom processes, ink-substrate interactions, drying systems, and surface treatments to optimize print runs.
  • Lead color matching, print troubleshooting, and defect analysis efforts using advanced color management systems such as X-Rite.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical roles supporting wide web flexographic and/or gravure printing.
  • Proven expertise with water and solvent-based inks and coatings used in flexible packaging applications.
  • Strong knowledge of pressroom operations, ink-substrate interactions, drying systems, and surface treatments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead customer-facing technical engagements and independently manage complex projects.
  • Skilled in color matching, print troubleshooting, and print defect analysis.
