Position: Webservices Developer Location: Washington, DC / Virginia / Maryland Job Overview Join Venkat p as a Webservices Developer and play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance web services and APIs that power enterprise applications. This contract position requires expertise in building scalable, secure, and efficient software solutions to enable seamless integration across platforms. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement RESTful and SOAP web services to facilitate communication between diverse applications and systems. Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate UI components using React, Angular, or Vue.js frameworks. Design and optimize database schemas with SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB to meet application data requirements. Utilize ASP.NET (including ASP.NET Core), WCF, and microservices architecture for scalable backend solutions. Write clean, efficient code using C#, Python, Java, or Ruby on Rails following SDLC best practices. Conduct unit testing and debugging using tools like Visual Studio, Eclipse, GitHub, TFS, and SVN. Implement CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or similar platforms to ensure continuous integration and deployment. Participate actively in Agile development processes including sprint planning and daily stand-ups. Design APIs based on UML diagrams and maintain thorough documentation for internal and third-party use. Qualifications Proven experience in web services development and API integration. Strong knowledge of RESTful and SOAP protocols. Experience with ASP.NET Core, WCF, and microservices architecture. Proficiency in C#, Python, Java, or Ruby on Rails programming languages. Familiarity with database design and optimization. Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD tools. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
