Mine Planning Officer open to new opportunities
Developed and maintained detailed pit designs and short-term mine plans and schedules for Drill & Blast, Truck & Shovel and Dragline operations, ensuring alignment with geological conditions, production targets and long-term mine plans.. Produce detailed drill patterns and charging instructions that are optimized for safety due to hot hole blasting, vibration and noise control in surrounding communities and infrastructure, and fragmentation targets especially in buffer blasted areas while complying with statutory requirements.. Blast compliance monitoring, blasting product quality monitoring and cost monitoring and reconciliation.. Design detailed dragline spoil profiles, bench geometries, and toe positions while ensuring plans incorporate appropriate access ramps, drainage considerations, and geotechnical parameters.. Modify pit designs and production plans to accommodate geological changes, operational requirements and production priorities while maintaining compliance with design standards.. Compile and update daily, weekly and monthly statistical reports (performance tracking).. Participate in pre-planning and integrated planning meetings and collaborate with geology, survey, production, and engineering teams to integrate geological information into practical mine designs and production plans.. Conduct regular field inspections to validate mine designs, identify deviations and implement timely design updates to maintain safe and efficient production.. Conducted risk assessments and highlight critical issues affecting schedule execution, and providing corrective recommendations.
Rotational exposure across core operational areas, learning shift planning, production control and day-to-day supervision.. Active participation in SHE management, including toolbox talks, risk assessments and incident investigations.. Involvement in performance tracking, cost awareness and continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and small improvement projects.. Evaluation and optimization of mining equipment and systems to improve productivity, safety, and efficiency.. Preparation of technical, safety and shift reports and presentations.. Active participation in blast compliance monitoring and reconciliation.. Comply with legal regulations and procedures, standards, and safety protocols for blasting.
